Wrocław in brief

Wrocław is a city on the Odra in Lower Silesia, in south-western Poland, and the capital of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship. It was ruled by the Piasts, the Crown of Bohemia, the Habsburgs and Prussia, was part of Germany as Breslau, and became part of Poland in 1945. The language is Polish and the currency is the złoty. The introduction says how to say the city’s name, how to pay, how to get about and what the weather is like month by month.
